Mercan Makina - About Us

1988

Started as a small workshop in İzmir – 5. Sanayi Sitesi, only 150m2, with the name Mercan Engineering. Produced parts for buses and trucks for BMC Company and attended project based works.

1995

Moved to a bigger workshop in İzmir – Pınarbaşı, 1000 m², and changed its name to Mercan Machinery. In addition to its business, Mercan produced its own patented Leather Processing Machines and exported 15 countries around the world.

2003

Moved to a bigger factory in İzmir – Kemalpaşa, 4000 m². With its expanding vision and team, Mercan got ISO9001 certificate in 2005 and started working as a supplier for bigger companies.

2010

Attended fairs around Europe and became a business partner for worldwide brands.

2014

Moved to a bigger factory in Manisa Industrial Park, 8000 m².

2018

Mercan is a supplier for world wide companies with its young / well trained team and Industry 4.0 applications.

2021

2500 m2, Axle Housing ring production facility was opened in Manisa Muradiye region.

Mercan Engineering was established on 1988, in İzmir, as a small workshop. In first decade Mercan participated in engineering projects and worked as Tier1 supplier for BMC Company producing metal parts. In 1995, Mercan changed its name to Mercan Machinery and produced its own patented “leather processing machines”. In second decade, Mercan continued with engineering projects and machine production. In 2003, Mercan moved to a bigger factory in İzmir – Kemalpaşa. In 2005, Mercan earned ISO9001 certificate and started to supply bigger companies. Starting from 2010, Mercan regularly attended international fairs and increased its export. Then, in 2014, Mercan moved to Manisa Industrial Park. In 2021, Axle Housing Ring Production Facility was opened in Manisa Muradiye region. Today, Mercan is a supplier of metal parts for worldwide brands, in automotive, energy and construction machinery sectors. Mercan aims to satisfy its customers and employees by achieving ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 quality standards
